    The Yee: 75rd AKM drum

UPDATE: sendspace link expired; new link below

    http://bayfiles.net/file/12oaL/6e1tM..._v0.2-nils.zip

    Hello All,
I'm proud to announce the Yee, a 75 round drum based off of the classic AKM/RPK drum, dedicated to the gun-grabbing California State Senator Yee. This CAD contains parts derived from Defense Distributed's Feinstein Magazine, so it is licensed under the GPL v3

Keep in mind this is an alpha-release, meant to solicit feedback from the community. Anyone printing this drum should not expect it to work without significant manual adjustment.

    TODO
    • Modular magazine body (e.g. interface with SKS)
    • Adapt drum to accept readily-available torque springs
    • Adjust for tolerances/reliability
    • Adapt for better printability
    • Fix follower
    • Tweak winding mechanism
    • Adjust drum body tabs

I just wish we had more people with the resources and the ability to legally print and test these, work would progress so much faster if we did.

Was this made in Solidworks by any chance?
Think of it a world of plenty, with easy localized manufacture of almost anything you might need. It's a world in which "that should be illegal" becomes a punch line. - JD Tuccille

I'm curious... has anyone considered making a version of this for the AK-74? Next to NO drums for the '74 made it over here to America. And give that 5.45 is cheap everyone should be able to keep a drum well feed. Well... assuming you don't run the rifle hot enough to MELT the drum... I've heard tales of AKs and RPKs running hot enough to make the wood burn.
